SUMMARY
Skilled communicator with more than
14 years of internet program and social media strategy, development and management
experience.
Since 1997 my roles at World Vision have focused on web development, content creation, strategy,
architecture, mass e-mail development, search engine optimization, analytics, social media and more.
Overall, more than 30 years of communications (writing, editing and publication design), technology, and
business experience, including three years' experience in the public radio arena.
Writing experience includes co-authorship of three nonfiction books (published
by mainstream Christian publishers), an unpublished novel, dozens of freelance magazine articles
(including the winner of the Evangelical Press Association's "Best Personality Feature of the Year"
award in 1981), two World Vision U.S. annual reports, several years' worth of quarterly major donor magazines
(the "World Vision Report"), program reports, and other fundraising materials; and many years'
worth of web content assignments, including serving as senior editor of World Vision's monthly
email newsletter for two years. I served for several years as a ghost writer for former WVUS
President Bob Seiple and have been a keynote speaker for the Northwest Christian Writer's Association.
Small business management experience includes starting and operating four successful small
businesses: a printing company, a company providing typesetting services to the printing trade, a company
providing technology services to the California State University system, and a freelance consulting and
writing business.
